The Free tier is the full app, not a demo. Connect one server and you get the terminal with up to 10 tabs, dual-pane SFTP, real-time monitoring, sandboxes (Docker + gVisor), tunnels, workflows, and the MCP server that hands AI agents scoped, consented access to your servers. PRO gates scale and sync, not capability.

If you already paid, you keep PRO

Existing customers stay PRO automatically. No restore button, no email, no claim form — just update and launch.

If your original download happened before the tiered pricing change on July 28, 2026, Gumpbox 1.10 recognizes your existing purchase and unlocks PRO on its own. You backed the app early; you don't get downgraded for it.

Why the change

Paid-upfront was simple, but it asked people to pay before they could tell whether Gumpbox fit their workflow — a hard ask in a category as new as AI-assisted server ops.

Free fixes that. Point Gumpbox at a real server, run real work, and decide later. PRO is for the people who choose to stay, and it's a single one-time payment: no recurring bill, no "is this still worth it" calculation next month.

Server tooling should feel owned, not rented. That part doesn't change.

Where you'll see PRO

PRO shows up only when it's relevant:

• Sidebar card on Mac and iPad while you're on Free
• Dashboard banner on iPhone
• Adding a second server — the paywall appears only when you outgrow the free limit
• iCloud sync, local backup, and local restore entry points

No spontaneous popups. The app stays quiet unless you reach for something that needs PRO.
