Summer Sale: 60% Off Gumpbox

Gumpbox is now $3.99 on the Mac App Store, down from the regular price of $9.99. The summer sale runs through July 31, 2026.

This is a small thank-you to everyone who has tried Gumpbox, sent feedback, reported rough edges, or shared it with other developers and server admins. The product has grown a lot because of that support, and I want to make it easier for more people to try it during the summer.

What Gumpbox does

Gumpbox is a native Mac app for managing Linux servers and SSH-based workflows. It brings the everyday parts of server administration into one focused workspace:

• SSH connection management for the servers you work with regularly
• Real-time monitoring for CPU, memory, disk, and service health
• Workflow automation for repeatable operations and maintenance tasks
• MCP and AI integration so agents can work with your infrastructure through controlled local tools

The goal is not to replace the terminal. It is to make the repetitive parts of server management easier to see, safer to operate, and simpler to automate.

Recent improvements in v1.5.1

The latest release focused on reliability and quality-of-life improvements that came directly from real usage:

• SSH keepalive with auto-reconnect helps long-running sessions recover more gracefully when networks drop or laptops sleep.
• Workflow performance improvements make automation feel faster and more responsive, especially when working across multiple steps.
• MCP auto-start reduces setup friction by making the local AI integration easier to keep available when you need it.

These are not flashy changes, but they matter in day-to-day work. Gumpbox should feel dependable when you are checking a production server, running an automation, or asking an AI agent to help with a scoped task.

What is coming next

There is still a lot more to build. The next areas I am focused on are:

• An iOS and iPadOS companion app for checking in on servers and workflows away from the Mac
• MCP scope enforcement to make AI-assisted operations more explicit and easier to audit
• More automation features for common server maintenance, deployment, and monitoring workflows

The direction stays the same: practical tools for people who manage real servers, with AI integration that is useful without being reckless.
